    I also noticed a compartment for a “9V battery.” Is that only for keeping the clock settings when the power goes out, or can the device actually run on battery power as well? The power cord is quite short and doesn’t reach my work desk, where I would also like to listen to it occasionally while soldering.

    Hello everyone! I found an old Thomson CR370P clock radio in my parents’ attic. It looks really nice, kind of retro style, but I can’t quite figure out the controls because the front panel buttons don’t seem very intuitive. I want to put it on my bedside table so I don’t have to reach for my phone in the morning, but I’m worried the display might be too bright at night. Is there a way to dim it? And how do you set the auto shut-off so the radio plays for about 20 minutes while I fall asleep and then turns itself off?
