We are going to Izmir for the first time, and I am trying to figure out what there is to do there besides going to the beach. I have heard that there are many interesting cultural sites in the city, but which ones are best to visit first? What is the most interesting there? Maybe someone can share their experience, what they liked, and what can be safely skipped?
Well, did you at least make a rough plan or list of places you wanted to visit? Izmir is a big city, so if you can, set aside a whole day for sightseeing. I liked the view of the city’s coastline from Asansor. It’s also good that I read about things to do in Izmir on the GetExperience website and found out about the cable car. Man, it’s a cool place! Be sure to take a ride on one of the cable cars! It will be fun and interesting for everyone! We also spent the whole day at the Yali Castle water park. In general, there are many interesting places to visit in Izmir. So it’s better to take your time and choose a couple of main places that are a must-see.
