When you have filed your Self-Assessment return, you are allowed to pay the bill through several ways. Online bank transfers, direct debit, debit or credit cards, or via individuals app banking are most popular. If you are unable to pay the amount at one go then you can pay through cheque, in a bank, or through installments. HMRC has arrangements for paying costs in the next month installments known as Time to Pay arrangements. In any case payment should be made no later than 31 January; second instalment in July if account has been made on an expected future earnings basis.
